EDO RSS microwave tuners are characterized by:
- Wide instantaneous bandwidth (500 MHz standard tuner, 2 GHz High Performance Receiver)
- Fast tuning speeds (standard products with 300 msec tuning times)
- Control via RS-422, Ethernet, VersanetTM, and digital parallel bus
These tuners take the RF output from the antenna subsystem and downconvert it to a fixed IF for signal processing. The downconversion is done with high fidelity (low phase noise) and with wide instantaneous bandwidth (up to 2 GHz) to allow for processing sophisticated signals. Tuner options include extended dynamic range, multiple channels, and customized control and packaging.
